Global settings are properties for which you can choose values to apply to your applications. For example, if you set the default currency locale global setting to US English, then US English becomes the default currency locale for your entire system. You can view and edit the property type values of global settings from the Admin Console.
Use the Global Settings list to view global settings within Customer Service. Global settings control many of the specific behaviors of Customer Service, including services like telephony and e-mail. Global Settings apply their respective properties to your entire system. The application provides a number of out-of-the-box global settings with default values.
You can sort the Global Settings list by any of the column names by clicking them. The list is not searchable.
Note: Global setting categories are maintained using the Studio Administration > Maintenance > Global Settings form. Categories are used for organization and have no external meaning.
