The system logs are helpful for troubleshooting and for when you need to contact Customer Support. You can create and delete log categories, and edit logging levels.
Note: The changes that you make on the Logging Maintenance screen are effective during runtime only. The changes last only until the next startup. You can make permanent changes only in the logj4configuration.xml file in your directory:
Infor_dir/Shared/etc
where Inforl_dir is the directory where you installed the system.
The log files with extension .log4j are created under Infor_dir/ Shared/etc/logs. Use the Studio LogViewer to view the logs.
You are more likely to change the log level of an existing log to help troubleshoot issues in the system than to create a new log.
